Situated in the county of Hampshire along the River Itchen, is a Gothic city oozing with history, Winchester.
In the heart of Winchester stands one of the largest Gothic landmarks in Europe, Winchester Cathedral. With fifteen centuries of English history behind the building, it is a must-see monument.
Strolling through the pedestrianised high street you are spoilt for choice. With a wonderful array of high street stores, as well as lively market stalls selling a huge selection of products.
Venture through the streets just off of the main square and you will find some gorgeous independent boutique stores. Sass and Edge was the shop that caught my eye, so I just had to go in and explore! With a huge range of stylish pieces, Sass & Edge hold brands such as Wildfox, Pampelone, Air & Grace, Popski and Fabienne Chapot (written about in my Amsterdam post click here to read.) this minimalist, chic store is a gem of Winchester!
Wrap up warm this time of year, and with a little help from Jigsaw I certainly felt nice and toasty on a crisp winters day! (P.S this parka is in the sale, click here to shop!)

Rest your feet and warm up in one of Winchester’s glorious cafés. My recommendation is Eat Drink & Be serving delicious coffee, hot and cold food and some appetising cakes. Tuck in and watch the world go by with a superb panoramic view of the high street.
Rich in history and style, Winchester holds a surprise around every corner and I absolutely fell in love with this picture perfect English City.
